Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the Westin Platinum Oval Running Boards. This is what our running boards are gonna look like when they're installed. You can see we have a nice large plate here. The distance between the top of our running board in the bottom of our kick panel here is gonna be a little bit different. Typically, these are pretty close, but our vehicle has a four inch body lift because it is equipped with the handicapped wing on the other side, where both passenger doors open at the same time in order for a wheelchair to get in. more

Hey, guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Chevy Silverado 3500, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Westin HDX Xtreme Running Boards. When we take a look at a set of running boards, what we'd like to do is, we'll look at what it's like to live with it. So right off the bat, you go to get in your truck, it's gonna be a nice, large space to put your foot. I have a size 13 boot, which a boot is typically a little bit larger in size than a typical tennis shoe or a sandal. So you can see there is more than enough space, about six inches extra past my boot, to be able to put your foot on that, get up in your truck nice and safely. more

Hi there Silverado owners. Today in your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install Westin's Thrasher Running Boards.If you're looking to give your truck a rugged heavy duty book, the Thrasher series is a great option to go with. It gives you a very large step plate. So if you are a larger person, kind of like I am with larger feet, this gives you plenty of room to step up here where you don't feel uncomfortable.I also really like the slotted openings, which provide traction by digging into your shoes. I actually prefer this over your grip tape or your rubber surfaces, because those can wear down over time, whereas something like this with a rough edge is just never going to wear down, this is going to grip for a long time to come.So you can see here as I go to step in my size 13 shoe, has plenty of surface area for me to step on and it also feels very sturdy when getting in. Some of the tube steps while they provide plenty of support, they kind of have a little bit of give to them, not so much with these steps.I also noticed that when I was installing these compared to the tube steps, lifting these up, they are significantly heavier and just feel a whole lot stronger. more

Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we're gonna be installing Westin's Sure-Grip Running Boards, part number 27-6105-2135.These custom fit steps are gonna make it easier to get in and out of your Silverado. They're designed specifically to mount onto your Silverado, right into the factory holes that are located underneath.It comes with all the hardware you need to get it installed, it has a rubberized, textured pad so you don't have to worry about slipping when getting in and out of your truck. The rounded edges contour nicely to your vehicle, helping maintain that factory look. The steps are gonna measure 54 inches long and six inches wide, the step pad width is about four-and-a-half inches.You don't have to worry about rust with the aluminum construction. It has a UV coating as well to help prevent against fading of the color and cracks in the sun. These side steps are going to make it easier to get in and out of your vehicle. It's got a nonslip, rugged textured surface to help you get in and out with no problems and it had a maximum capacity of 350 pounds, so it's nice and study. It's constructed with aluminum with a black powered hook finish. Both the driver side and passenger side steps are included as well as all the mounting hardware that you will need.We're here on our driver's side at the lower kick panel with the door open. We want to align the front of our step with the front of our seat and when you go to line up your step, you'll notice there's a pillar blocking you from being perfectly in line with your seat bracket there. more

DeeZee Nerf Bars Installation - 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the DeeZee Nerf Bars, part number DZ372531.The reason you're going to want a set of steps like this is not only do they look good on your vehicle, but they also make it easier for you to get in and out of your truck. As you'll notice, these boards have a really nice profile, which follow the lines of our truck very well. Not only can they assist our front passengers getting in, but we also have a step portion here on the back for our backseat passengers.The step portion of our running boards measures 21" wide by 3" deep and is the same on both locations for our front and our backseat passengers. The 3" diameter tubular bar runs the entire length of the cab. These steps have a 250-pound capacity, so they're plenty strong for most individuals.When comparing these steps to a similar option from Westin, these bolt through our body mount, through the frame and in the body of the vehicle, making them very strong, whereas the Westins only attach to the body of the vehicle. Now, these nerf bars are wheel to wheel, which is nice because they're going to give us that third step at the back, which is making it that much easier to get in our truck bed. They're 4 inch wide oval bars, which means they're going to have more stability over the round bars, because it's going to have a greater surface. The extra wide step is going to be great for us getting in or out, making sure we have a nice secure footing. more

Westin PRO TRAXX Oval Nerf Bars Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we're going to be showing you how to install the Westin PRO TRAXX four inch oval nerf bars in the polished stainless steel. Part number is 21-23720. Here's what our nerf bars are going to look like installed on our Silverado. As you can see that polished stainless steel really sets the truck off and gives it a nice custom look. Now they offer the cab length design so it's designed to fit the full length and I think they're really going to lend themselves nicely to most of the paint colors that are going to be on the truck just because they are more in that neutral tone. This is going to give us a really nice wide area to be able to step down on and get lots of traction off the raised lugs that are on there. Unlike the older step bars that just kind of had rubber there, these are actually going to give us some grip, something our feet will be hold on to and we won't be slipping trying to get in the truck. Now the step pads themselves are a heavy duty polymer material. They're designed to resist any of the kind of the deterioration that you sometimes get from the UV rays, especially with the cracking or the fading. more

Today, on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be having a look at and installing the Aries Round Nerf Bars, part number AA204045. Here's what our running boards look like installed. As you can see, not only do they give our truck an aggressive look, but they also serve a purpose. They make it a lot easier for us to get in and out of our truck. The non-slip rubber pad, here, on the top, gives you a nice place to step to get in and out of the truck, especially if it's raining or you have mud on your shoes or your boots. Not only do we have this nice step feature for our front seat passengers, but we also have it for our rear seat passengers. Our Nerf bars are constructed of a very durable, high carbon steel, and are also powder-coated in a semi-gloss black powder-coat finish, which will give us many years of rust free service. Our Nerf bar has a three inch tubular steel design, which gives us plenty of surface area for us to step on to get in and out of our vehicle easily. Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we'll be installing the Westin PRO TRAXX Oval Nerf Bars, part number 21-23865. Here's what our nerf bars look like installed. As you can see, it offers a full cab length construction with a 4 inch wide oval tube. On top of our tube we have a 4 inch wide step pad for the front door and for our rear door passenger. These step pads will provide us with sure footing, even in wet and snowy conditions. The step pad is made of a durable polymer construction which won't crack or fade under UV light. Aries Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2016 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Colorado we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Aries round nerf bars with a three-inch diameter in polished stainless steel, part number AA204051-2. They're also available in a semi-gloss black powder-coated steel, part number AA204051. Here's what these nerf bars are going to look like once they're installed on the truck. As you can see, it gives a nice clean look on the vehicle. It's going to contour the cab of the truck very well. Westin Tube Step Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, we'll be installing the Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars that are three inch in diameter, with a polished stainless steel construction, part number 23-1400. It gives you a nice, good, solid entry step to get into your vehicle. It makes it easier to get into the vehicle. This nice, black step pad here gives us a nice, non-slip finish. Even if we have mud on our boots, or it's raining outside, once we step on here we're not going to slip off. It gives us a nice, secure, easy, and safe way to enter our vehicle. There is no drilling required, and it is a quick and easy bolt on installation. Now here's what we have on our driver's side. more

Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Westin E-Series 3" Round Nerf Bars in black, part number 23-1955. Here's what they look like once they're installed. They're nice 3" tube, so we get that nice appearance, with the rounded edge on both ends. It gives you the finished look as well. With the powder-coated finish and our non-skin steps here, it's going to make it really easy to get in your vehicle. With these step pads here, it's not a cutout design like some of the ones on the market, so we can ensure we're not going to get water inside our tube. It's just kind of pushed down, the same piece of metal, and the step pad is affixed to there. more

Westin E Series Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2010 Chevrolet Colorado- Video
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Colorado, we're going to take a look at and then show you how to install the Westin E-Series 3 inch Round Nerf Bars. These are the black, powder coat steel, part number is 23-3155. Now when getting in and out of the vehicle, it's going to be nice to have that little bit of an extra step there to kind of give us that umph we need to get up and in. See there, our door clears it without any kind of issue. We're going to have a nice, large diameter 3 inch tube, and also the 3 inch step right up on top here. The nice thing about the way the step is put on here, they don't have any holes that are drilled into the top of the tube. more

DeeZee Nerf Bars Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
On this 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab we're going to show you a Dee Zee tube steps part number DZ372539. This is what they look like when they're installed on our truck. You can see that reaches from the bender wheel in front to the rear of the cab in the back. Our tube steps are going to be four inches across measured from here to here. This is the same all the way around even around the curves. This has a plastic step on top here and you notice it actually has a texture on the top to get a firm grip with your shoes to get in and out. Now the finish on our tube steps is a gloss black powder coat finish. more

Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500- Video
Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab, we're going to review and install the Westin E-Series Round Nerf Bars. Part number 23-71950. Now here's what our nerf bars are going to look like once they're installed. Being a crew cab, we've got stepping pads for both the front and second row. Here for each entry and exit is our nice plastic-molded pad. This will give us a good, sure grip when getting in or out of the vehicle. The length of our pad is 21", and our width is right at 3". That gives us plenty of room even for those with larger feet. more

Westin Running Boards Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Traverse- Video
Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Traverse for our review and install of the Weston Tube Step Running Board, part number 27-6620-1835. Here's what the running boards are going to look like once they're installed. The running board is going to provide a nice, stable step for getting into and out of the vehicle. Our running board is approximately seventy two inches long from end to end, the entire width of the running board is six inches, and the rubber step in the center to provide our traction is four and a half inches wide. Our rubber step is also made of UV material so it won't crack or fade in the sunlight. Also built into our step are the grooves or channels, this will help divert water so we have a good, sure-footed gripping area. As you can see we've got a nice streamlined look with our running board because it's made of a bright anodized aluminum construction so it won't rust. Now to begin our install we need to identify the front attachment points and bracket. more

DeeZee Round Nerf Bars Installation - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2005 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to show you Dee Zee Nerf Bars, part number DZ371523. We've got them installed on our passenger side of our truck, so let's go ahead and cover some of the features. First off, this is a polished stainless steel finish. The diameter of the tube is going to be about three inches. You can see it has a 90 degree turn, and this is inaudible 00:00:23 bent, which means that the tube has a smooth bend all the way around. No kinks or anything like that. The step plates here are constructed from the heavy duty plastic, one half for our extended cab here and of course, the other one for the front of our cab. more

Bestop PowerBoard Running Boards Installation - 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body- Video
Today on our 2007 Chevy Silverado new body 2500 we'll be installing the Bestop Power Board Motorized Running Boards with LED lights, part number B7512615. To begin our install we'll start on the driver's side. We'll need to remove the manufacturer's parking brake cable ring. We'll remove the bolt that secures it and then remove it completely. We're going to reinstall a new hold down ring. We'll go ahead and pull the bolt out, then use a pair of pliers and a screwdriver to open the ring up enough to remove it from the cable. more
